Is Vanity Fair unfairly handicapping the african american female acting community?
Now this is a complicate issue. VF is allowed to put whatever person of whichever skin color on their cover, whenever too! But on the other(lily white) hand: the above image is so ivory that it blinds me. AND some certain columnists are right to point out how egregious the omission of Zoe Salanda is. She's tall, skinny, hot, and was in two HUGE movies last year. Isn't the whole point that this is the "NEW" hollywood? And these are the "FRESH FACES" of "2010"? Other outlets covering the cover failed to cover the most coverable aspect: the obvious racism!
But let's not get carried away with ourselves. Did a wise man not say: "There can be no sin simply from omission."? Nope? Maybe I should post a poll to divine the guilt of VF's editors, but the results might be skewed,,,
